Streamline your Valentine's Day Wardrobe
Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love, but it often comes with the pressure of trying to find the perfect outfit. That said, if you're anything like me, it can be easy to get caught up in things like whether or not your lipstick matches your shoes or if your outfit will make your partner fall head over heels for you all over again. But when we start thinking about our Valentine's Day wardrobe in that way, we end up missing out on all of the fun! Instead of worrying about what you're going to wear on this special day that should just be spent with someone you adore—or even better: enjoying yourself as much as possible while doing absolutely nothing at all—take some tips from me and streamline your wardrobe so that finding something perfect isn't quite so difficult after all!
Graphic tee's
Graphic tee's are your best bet for showing off your sense of humor. They're also a great way to add some personality to your outfit. I would recommend going with a graphic tee that says something about yourself or your partner, like "I love [insert name here]." If you're looking for something more subtle, try wearing a plain white t-shirt and adding a stitch or two in the corner with fabric paint. This will let people know that you're an individual without making any bold statements!
Graphic Tee's are great because they have so many uses! You can wear them as pajamas, but they make great outfits too! You can wear them on casual days when everyone else is dressed up casual; think jeans + graphic tees = perfect blend of cute + comfortable.
Red blazer
For a quick and easy way to add some Valentine's Day flair to your outfit, you can't go wrong with a red blazer. You can wear it with jeans or even a skirt—it's the perfect addition to your wardrobe for the holiday!
The red blazer is just one part of what we call our "Valentine's Day Wardrobe." It includes all kinds of items that are perfect for creating an ensemble that celebrates the holiday in style.
Cardigan
Cardigan is a must have for winter. It is the perfect layering piece, and adds colour to any outfit. Cardigans can be worn with jeans or leggings, dresses and skirts. You can dress them up or down depending on your mood and occasion. A cardigan can be worn with a number of different outfits, making it a versatile wardrobe staple that will always look great!
The perfect outfit for Valentine's Day
For the most part, you can’t go wrong with a graphic tee and jeans—unless you overthink it. The goal is to pull off a simple look that works for everyone, whether they're going out for dinner or staying in for Netflix and chill. Although this outfit might seem basic, it’s also versatile enough to be worn during any season of the year: just swap out your boots for sandals in summer, or add some heavier layers if it gets cold outside.
If you want to try something more interesting than a plain white tee but don't want to commit wholeheartedly (like me), consider adding an extra layer like a blazer or cardigan that coordinates with your shirt. A red blazer is classic but so are other hues like burgundy and navy blue; just make sure they match! If opting for the latter option doesn't suit your style preferences, choose something else similar such as grey sweatshirt instead of black onesie - again just remember not too many layers because then again we'll end up looking bulky instead of chic :)
Avoid the pitfalls of overthinking an outfit and don't forget that less is often more.
If you're anything like me, you probably want to look good this Valentine's Day. But the more pressure you put on yourself to do so—and feel that your outfit needs to be perfect or else—the more likely it is that you will get overwhelmed and frustrated. The best thing to do is stay calm, take a deep breath, and focus on what feels right for YOU.
Remember: less is often more! Don't overthink your outfit; avoid the pitfalls of overthinking an outfit by focusing on putting together something simple and comfortable that goes well with what everyone else in your group will be wearing (if there's one). This doesn't mean wearing jeans and a t-shirt; this just means don't try too hard with your outfit. It can also help if you consider whether you'll need clothes for pictures after dinner (so maybe don't wear white).
So, in the end, we can all agree that it's important to streamline your Valentine's Day wardrobe. Don't overthink an outfit and don't forget that less is often more.
